God Gives Grace for Every Place

CAREGIVERS CORNER

Sitting here working and thinking about my ladies. As different as the days are in serving as a Caregiver to my mom and grandma, there's something that I will forever cherish and that's hearing them ALWAYS talk about God and His goodness. I've been in awe of the fact that though there are challenges to remembering the basic ADLs (activities of daily living - majorly for my mom), neither one of them has forgotten God and who He is and always has been to them. The mention of his name sparks excitement in them. My mom often says, "I'll never forget God, He's been too good to me." My grandmother calls on Jesus many times throughout every day. I was getting her ready for a bath the other night and as we were walking to the bathroom, she was saying, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus..." As she was getting ready to step in the shower, she was saying, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus..." I said to her, "Grandma, why do you keep calling on Jesus?" She giggled a little and replied, "He's my helper!" All I could do was smile and say, "Yes ma'am, He is!"

I love God so much, yall! And my love for him has grown even deeper over these past few years since I've been serving them. I have gotten to see God in a different way, in a different place in my life. I have grown to value every single moment.

I encourage those of you who have the privilege and honor to serve your loved ones as Caregiver, allow God to serve them through you. He gives grace for every place He allows us to enter. Embrace His grace. Walk in His love, and be the very expression of His love as you give Care. Yes, you're in a different place in your life, likely one that you didn't expect to be in when you envisioned where you'd be at this juncture of your life years prior. Nonetheless, God planned for you to be right where you are, doing exactly what you're doing. Seek for Him in this place and I promise you, you'll find Him. You, too, will get to see Him in a different way; and even greater way.

I love you, my friend! I'm praying for you. No mater what #KeepGoing #KeepPushing #KeepLoving #KeepCARING
